How do we cast our performers?

Our cast is chosen based on acting credentials, ability to work well with children, and looks! We try our best to accurately cast performers as characters they look like. This means we will NEVER have a white princess of color and we won't cast performers who are too young/old to play the part.

Mae - Performer, Face Painter Mae is a performer from NWI and has had a love for princesses and all things fairy tale all her life. She has been doing theatrical productions since the age of 12 and has a minor in theatre from Indiana University. In addition to her theatrical background Mae has taken voice lessons at the Music of Oz Studios, and has been a part of various choirs since she was young. She started portraying characters in 2014 and has loved being able to make children’s dreams come true ever since.

Kiera - Performer Kiera has been performing since the age of six, in both theatrical productions and short films. She attended Chapman University in Orange, California and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Screen Acting, graduating in 2017. She has a strong passion for fairytales, fantasy, and all things princess!

With the company since 2019 

Diamond- Performer, Face Painter Diamond is currently enrolled at The Illinois Institute of Art, majoring in Illustration and Design seeking to get her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree. Her hobbies include painting, drawing, sculpting, face painting, reading, cosplay, and playing sports. Diamond has 6 years of experience working with children and loves working with them. She was a birthday clown for 2 years alongside 4 years of face painting at various parties and events before she joined the C&C team in 2018

Epiphany - Performer in Training

Fluent in Spanish & ASL

Epiphany  is an aspiring dancer and journalism student at Loyola University Chicago. Epiphany grew up dancing and acting in her church plays and school musicals. In 2016, she spent her summer as a recreation leader at a local community center in East Chicago, IN. The following summer Epiphany volunteered teaching young children how to read at Erie Neighborhood House in Chicago. While she enjoys spending time with children in any capacity, Epiphany’s favorite way to connect with them is through performing arts.

Dan - Performer Dan's on board with doing anything that can help others have fun and be happy, As a cosplayer and character performer he loves seeing the excited reactions of people, especially kids. Dan loves dressing up and becoming different characters.

To be someone more formidable, and strong, and cool lookin' is the great obsession of every boy, and he never grew out of this phase and doesn't plan to. So why not save time and accomplish both a childhood dream and putting smiles on people's faces at the same time??

Jimmy - Character Assistant Jimmy is a graduate student at Valparaiso University studying international policy. He enjoys sports and has experience coaching kids. In the past he has done work as a character performer but has found he enjoys working at the sidelines as a character assistant best.
